Paisley First is calling on the public and the local business community in Paisley town centre to get behind our Free for Three campaign, as we launch a petition calling for a pilot project.

We believe that free parking for three hours will bring the optimum benefit to those businesses in Paisley who currently lose out to retail parks such as Braehead and Silverburn, and very soon, the new Wallneuk development.

Offering free parking for three hours will allow visitors time to shop, run errands, and grab a bite to eat but will deter commuters who wish to park in Paisley and then take the train elsewhere.

The public response to our Free for Three campaign has been fantastic and shows that many more people would visit Paisley to shop and socialise if there was an element of free parking on offer.

Paisley First is calling on Renfrewshire Council to implement a Free for Three Pilot Project before the start of the summer school holidays at the end of June.

So please sign our petition and lend your support!

We will be taking responses between now and 5 pm on Tuesday 28th May 2019.

Alternatively, you can call the Paisley First team on 0141 237 8120 or email ask@paisleyfirst.com if you wish to discuss our campaign further.
