The Royal National Mòd 2023 will return to Paisley this year.
Taking place in Paisley town centre from Friday 13th – Saturday 21st October 2023, this eight-day festival will be celebrate Gaelic language and culture.
More than 2,000 participants from across the world are expected to take part in a total of 200 competitions including Gaelic song, poetry, literature, drama, instrumental, Highland dancing and sport.
While more than 8,000 visitors are expected to visit Paisley during the Mòd bringing with them a million pound plus boost to the local economy – the economic benefit of last year’s event in Perth has been calculated at more than £2.5M.
The Mòd is a mixture of competitions, concerts, ceilidhs and other events. In addition to the more formal elements, there is also a lively Fringe programme.

Signature Fringe events include a concert celebrating the publication of The Francis Tolmie Collection and also a spectacular closing concert when folk-electronica powerhouse Niteworks will play their only Scottish gig of the year in the newly-refurbished Paisley Town Hall.
